Calibration for Machine Shops & Discrete Manufacturing
Machine shops and discrete manufacturers across Southern California use us as their single calibration source: calipers and micrometers on the Monday pickup route, surface plates checked in place, torque wrenches verified before the next audit. No minimum account size, and no call center — the same people answer the phone whether you send five instruments a year or five hundred.

Standards & regimes we support
- ISO 9001
- IATF 16949 supplier requirements
- Customer flow-downs
One accredited supplier for the whole gauge crib
Most shops accumulate calibration vendors — one for hand tools, another for torque, a third for the scale in shipping. Consolidating with one A2LA-accredited multi-discipline lab simplifies your supplier-quality records and your logistics, as long as the scope covers your equipment. We run nine disciplines in-house, so most gauge cribs fit under one supplier.
That also means one recall schedule, one point of contact, and one set of certificates in a consistent format — which matters more than it sounds like when an auditor asks you to produce records for a sampled instrument in under a minute.
- Calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges
- Gage blocks, thread / ring / plug gauges
- Surface plate flatness, checked in place
- Torque wrenches and screwdrivers
- Scales and balances, including floor and crane scales on-site
- Pressure gauges and hand tools
Logistics that fit a production schedule
Our vans run free scheduled pickup and delivery routes: Orange County on Monday and Wednesday, Los Angeles County on Tuesday and Thursday, and the Inland Empire on Friday. Your instruments ride with our drivers rather than a parcel courier, and walk-in drop-off is welcome at the Placentia lab during business hours.
Standard turnaround is 7–10 business days with 24/48/72-hour expedited options when a gauge is holding up an inspection. Outside Southern California, mail-in service gets you the same accredited certificates.
Intervals and repair, not just calibration
We also repair and adjust hand tools rather than simply failing them, and we can help you justify calibration intervals using as-found history — which is how you stop over-calibrating stable instruments and start catching the ones that actually drift. Both tend to lower total cost more than shopping unit price does.

General Manufacturing calibration FAQs
Is there a minimum account size?
No. We work with one-person shops and large manufacturers alike, and the same lab staff handle both. Send an equipment list of any length and we will quote it.
Do you pick up from our shop?
Free scheduled routes run Monday and Wednesday in Orange County, Tuesday and Thursday in Los Angeles County, and Friday in the Inland Empire. Call (657) 216-2600 or email to get on a route.
Can you repair hand tools, not just calibrate them?
Yes — hand tool repair and adjustment is part of what we do, so an out-of-tolerance instrument does not automatically become a replacement purchase.
